About Us
introducing Compass Mental Health & Wellness
Compass Mental Health & Wellness is an Arizona practice, founded in 2025 by a team of highly trained therapists and psychiatric nurse practitioners committed to delivering compassionate, professional mental health care. Our focus is the White Mountains — with in-person care in the Pinetop-Lakeside and Show Low area — while our secure telehealth extends the same services to adults, couples, and families across Arizona.
We provide therapy, psychiatric evaluations, and ongoing medication management, and we are actively contracting with major insurance carriers to make quality care as accessible as possible to the community we serve.

-
What is the difference between individual therapy and couples counseling?
Individual therapy focuses primarily on your personal emotional growth, helping you understand your inner thoughts, behaviors, and personal challenges such as anxiety or depression. In these private sessions, we work one-on-one to build personalized coping strategies and promote self-healing. Conversely, couples counseling centers on the relationship dynamic itself. We help partners improve communication, resolve conflicts, and rebuild trust by analyzing shared patterns and interactions. Both paths are designed to foster healing, but individual sessions prioritize personal self-discovery, while couples therapy aims to strengthen the bond and mutual understanding between two partners navigating life together.
-
How can addiction recovery support help someone maintain long-term sobriety?
Overcoming addiction requires a comprehensive, supportive approach that goes far beyond initial detoxification. Our professional recovery support focuses on identifying the underlying emotional and psychological triggers that contribute to substance use. We teach practical coping skills, stress management techniques, and relapse prevention strategies tailored to your unique lifestyle. Additionally, we address co-occurring mental health issues, such as trauma or depression, which are often linked to addictive behaviors. By fostering a safe, non-judgmental environment, we help individuals build a strong foundation for a healthier lifestyle, heal damaged relationships, and sustain meaningful, long-term recovery.
-
Do you offer telehealth sessions for clients living outside of your local clinic areas?
Yes, we provide highly accessible telehealth sessions for individuals, couples, and families residing anywhere throughout Arizona. We understand that busy schedules, transportation difficulties, or geographic distance can sometimes make in-person clinic visits challenging. Through our secure, HIPAA-compliant virtual platform, you can receive the same high-quality, personalized mental healthcare from the comfort and privacy of your own home. Whether you need support for anxiety, relationship issues, or addiction recovery, our online sessions ensure you never have to compromise on your mental well-being. What should we expect during a family intervention service?
Family intervention services are designed to help families address difficult patterns, improve communication, and support a loved one facing significant life or mental health challenges. During this collaborative process, we work closely with family members to establish a safe, structured environment where everyone can express their concerns constructively. We guide the conversation to avoid blame, focusing instead on healing relationships, setting healthy boundaries, and finding positive pathways forward. Our professional facilitators ensure that the intervention is conducted with utmost compassion, helping your family unite, heal, and take constructive steps toward long-term emotional stability and mutual support.
